Specific Portfolio Requirements
We look at student talents who dares to question the present and who has the potential to create the future. We accept applicants based on a visual portfolio and expect to receive a printed hard copy of the applicant's portfolio in colour, containing a representative selection of original works that visually displays, as well as textually communicates, the applicant's present capabilities and skill level in industrial design. If some of the works are either group work or made during internship or working as a professional, please clarify this in the portfolio.
If submission of digital material is absolutely required, please include a website address where the digital work can be viewed (CDs or similar will not be opened).
We mainly look at:
• Sketching as a visualization and ideation tool
• 2D and 3D software skills
• Experience of building physical mock-ups and presentation models
• Understanding of industrial production and technology in general
• Examples of problem identification and solving
• Creative and innovative thinking
• Design and form language
• Experience with individual and group work
• Overall attitude and approach to industrial design
• "Factor X" (What makes you special!)
We prefer and recommend our applicants to send portfolios in standard A4 size or similar.
(*) Important: The portfolio will not be returned to the applicant, so consider not investing too much in the printed portfolio you submit.
