Umeå Institute of Design is the only design education in Sweden that offers Master’s Programmes with studies in special areas of industrial design. The students can choose to focus on Interaction Design, on Transportation Design or on Advanced Product Design, which have led to that 95% of the graduated students have been employed by industry or consultancies in Sweden or overseas.
The Master’s Programmes at the Umea Institute of Design are the only design educations in the Nordic countries that are run in English and thereby open for international students. More than 60% of the students are overseas and currently from 20 countries.
